About
Welcome to Restaurante SOCA, a culinary gem nestled in the heart of Málaga at C. Carretería, 54. This restaurant is a unique fusion of Asian and Spanish influences, offering diners a delightful array of dishes that cater to varied tastes and preferences.
As I stepped inside, the ambiance was inviting and vibrant, setting the perfect stage for a memorable dining experience. The menu at Restaurante SOCA is a reflection of creativity and culinary artistry. Highlights include their celebrated brioche ribs, which several patrons have raved about for their mouthwatering flavor, and a selection of sushi that showcases an inventive approach to traditional classics.
However, it's worth noting that the sushi experience may vary. Reviews indicate that while some dishes, like the salmón lima teriyaki and Combo Soca, are outstanding, others, such as the soca special maki, might occasionally miss the mark—particularly with ingredient discrepancies reported by customers.
What truly sets SOCA apart is its commitment to both quality and customer service. Guests like Michael Mckinlay have praised the attentive staff, particularly mentioning servers like Ramiro, who enhance the experience with their personal touch and recommendations, highlighting local wines and dishes that capture the essence of Spanish dining. The outdoor seating area also adds to the charm, making it an ideal spot for enjoying your meal al fresco.
For those seeking an immersive experience, the six-course taster menu at €40 per person is highly recommended. It's an excellent opportunity to sample a diverse range of flavors and textures that Restaurante SOCA has to offer.
In conclusion, Restaurante SOCA presents a delightful dining experience in Málaga, marked by great service and a menu that speaks to both locals and visitors. Whether you're a sushi aficionado or simply looking for a unique spot to delight your taste buds, SOCA promises an enjoyable meal filled with culinary creativity.

“ This was a one-off occasion with an excellent south American tasting menu. Prepared and served with care. The meal started with a Pisco sour followed by a number of south American themed fish and meat dishes. All the dishes were of the highest quality. I could not choose which was the best - they were all bursting with a combination of flavours. All were served by a very attentive staff. I can't rate this evening highly enough ”
“ Very nice sushi and tapas restaurant. We were the first that evening and not all tables were set and done, but from the moment we stepped in we saw all the staff with a smile. They were very friendly and explained all the dishes when they brought it at our table. The sushi was perfect and the flavors/combinations we liked a lot. Also the tapas were very good. When we visit Malaga again, we definitely would visit this place again. ”
“ Food was good quality but not michelin star worthy. The brioche ribs were fantastic however the sushi very average. We ordered the soca special maki which is meant to have tuna salmon and shrimp however there was no shrimp in it. One of the waitresses was nice enough (blonde lady), the other one could use some training. ”
“ Very pleasant experience overall. The menu is quite diverse almost eclectic ranging from popular asian dishes to more traditional spanish dishes. I woukd have rated it 5 stars but the steak was dissapointing in that it was really small for the price and was served rather cold. Excellent service and great outdoor sitting area. ”
“ Incredible and delicious food. Highly recommended to book a table. The plates were tasty and with fresh ingredients. A must try is definitely the burger. Staff and service were friendly, helpful and nice. ”
“ Top class sushi, a slightly more limited menu, but with a unique approach to some classics and a great emphasis on how they use tuna in their dishes. I would absolutely visit again, and highly recommend to any sushi lovers visiting Malaga. We had the Salmón lima teriyaki and the Combo Soca but wanted to try loads more! ”
“ Great sushi, recommended the furomaki, salmon and tuna. Nice Margarita. 10/10 Service. ”
“ I would genuinely say this was one of the most enjoyable meals we have had in Spain. Our server, Ramiro, upon hearing that we are visiting Spain, made it his mission to ensure we had an authentic taste of Spain, including local wines, liquors and brandy. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious food and a friendly service, unlike any other in Málaga. To anyone who has decided to go: highly recommend the 6 course taster menu, at 40 euros per person it is definitely worth the experience. ”
